Luckily a manager who was a little more competent was able to help me but told me that I needed my drivers license!? So I had to go back to my car to get my Drivers license for him to see so I could return 39$ worth of items for a store credit with a gift receipt? What a total Sh** Show.
What a joke! I just left the Southdale location, walked through the whole store (all three levels) and NOT ONCE was I greeted by an associate, asked if I needed assistance, or even acknowledged that I was there, even though several employees looked directly at me. Stay away from this store, there are other locations where you will be treated like a human being!
They need to Get it together especially a week out from xmas.
I needed to buy some fragrances and Al was absolutely outstanding! He really *nose* his stuff (that was a perfume pun!) And he knows how to share his passion with you. He knows the history of the different fragrances and companies and can explain the differences in each scent. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Al! I learned a lot and I smell better now!
I Went to make a simple gift receipt return for store credit, or so I thought. They only had one register in the entire store open! The elderly lady behind the counter who seemed like she had been poorly trained was slammed by the time I entered the line so I had to wait for 15 minutes just for her to tell me she didn’t know how to process my return. How is that possible!!? It’s a week out from xmas and you can’t return items for store credit with the gift receipts? Granted the items were purchased at a different store location but when the little gun scanner wouldn’t just scan the gift receipts for her she seemed like there was nothing she could do?
What a horrible experience at a herbergers! There was absolutely no one @ to help! My bag of purchases set off the alarm at the door and no one came for over 10 minutes. I went back to the counter and person who checked me out. She swiped everything. The alarm went off again! I explained my frustration to the manager, she ignored me gave no apologies and shoved my bag of purchases at me! I'm appalled to say the least.
I have been a Herberger's fan for over 25 years but yesterdays' experience was a total disaster. We took our young adult granddaughters who were visiting to enjoy some of the Black Friday specials. There were good bargains but the check out process was terrible. First of all, one dressing room was totally closed so they had to stand in line at another. Then we went upstairs to get more things. After trying to check out there we gave up and went to the women's floor again. (Upstairs in the housewares the line was at least ten people long for the three checkout people who I would label as "slow, slower, and slowest!". Several people simply abandoned their potential purchases and left in disgust. ) Women's lines were not much better. We finally went to the main floor and checked out at the jewelry department with a lady who did not know how to use the coupons! There is really no excuse for that kind of poor customer service. It comes under the heading of training! We went to the Galleria next to the sale at Lulu lemon. It was packed, the checkout line was long and very efficient. They had a system and it worked. Maybe someone should go over and check it out.
